Intro Briefing:

What is Cosplay?

Cosplay is a combination of the words 'costume' and 'play'. It is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction.

How this came to be:

Several years ago, my daughters became interested in cosplay. As they began procuring items from places like Etsy, I was very underwhelmed by the quality of the costumes and especially the props they acquired.

Considering the almost four decades of scale modeling experience I have, and the several years I spent building armor and props with the 501st Legion, I set upon rebuilding and/or repainting the majority of the accoutrements they were using for their cosplay endeavors.

After considerable research, I purchased a 3D printer and began making props for my girls.

One printer quickly turned into three, and I also figured I could use a resin printer for more detailed parts. It was at this point I realized that I could probably sell better props online than what was being offered at the time, and we started selling as "Kahler's Props" on Etsy.

Before I knew it, I was running nine printers almost nonstop, we started an LLC and changed the name to "Cosplay Command Center".

Flash-forward a few years, and I have now had a major falling out with Etsy, and with no suitable alternative online marketplace, I've decided to go it alone and start my own site, and here we are.

For the last couple of years, I have made props that were within my daughter's fandoms, but the majority of my spare time has been spent producing items that are more in my realm of interest, i.e... Battlestar Galactica, Fallout, Star Wars, and a few others here and there.

As we move forward, we will be delving into other fandoms, and we plan to offer a more diverse array of cosplay accoutrements, costumes, and props while maintaining the attention to detail you will not find with mass produced ChiComm junk.

My name is Aaron (KahlerSwift online), I'm a girl dad of three, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a wannabe model/prop builder, and I look forward to doing business with you.

In the near future:

We are planning to focus on and offer cosplay and 3D Printing supplies for DIY cosplayers and 3D printing enthusiasts.

Long term, I intend on opening a brick and mortar in Jacksonville Florida and expand exponentially.
